@AucklandComedy at Facebook was our first and is still our most active Auckland live comedy listing page. It’s also the one that has been most mucked around by Facebook’s constantly changing “rules”.
As at March 2025 these rules seem to be:
- We can share events to our page as posts.
- We can add events with a single session to our page.
- We often can’t add events with multiple sessions to our page unless we are made co-host. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
- If we are a co-host we can send invites to our followers for the event. 500 people max, so please send invites from any other accounts you control first as we have over 800 followers and this may help give maximum coverage.
- We sometimes get notified that we have been requested to become co-host.
- We usually get notified if we are tagged in a post.
Facebook’s rules can & do get changed without any warning or notification.
To get your gig listed, send an invite to Julia Clement or message Auckland Comedy if it’s a single date we’ll add it to the page & share to the page’s feed. If it’s multiple dates we’ll share to the page but may not be able to add it to the page. If you choose to make Auckland Comedy a co-host we’ll be able to add it to the page as well.
We check social media at least once a day, so if you tag us or make us co-host & we don’t share within 48 hours sing out.
We reserve the right to decline any posts at our absolute discretion. We publish a partial list of events we don’t list in our FAQ.
