Pt Chev Gong 14/3/24

A gloved hand draws back a curtain to reveal a cartoon Chinese gong and a comedian. Text: Gong Show Coyle Park

Outdoor Open Mic Gong Comedy at 7 PM this Thursday 14/3/24 in Coyle Park, Pt Chev. Look for us to your left as you enter the park.

Gong is a different style of comedy show where the audience decides who finishes their set and who wins. We call it “Comedy as a blood sport”. We need around 12 people in the audience to make it work, if we get less than this we will do a regular open mic.

Please note that we have moved from outside the old library, corner Pt Chev & Great North Rds to the other end of Point Chevalier Road.

It starts to get quite cold towards the end of the show so BRING SOMETHING WARM TO THROW ON.

Free, but koha gladly accepted.

This is a fully accessible venue with on-street parking and near the 66 and 101 bus routes.

As an open mic we can’t control the jokes that individual comedians tell, parental discretion is advised.
