Gong Jellicoe Park, Onehunga 13/3/25

A gloved hand holds back a curtain revealing a gong overlapping the Memorial Arch in Jellicoe Park, Onehunga. Text: Gong Show Jellicoe Park

Outdoor Open Mic Gong Comedy at 6:30 Thursday 13 March in Jellicoe Park, opposite 80 Quadrant Road, Onehunga.

Gong is a fast and furious style of comedy show where the audience decides who finishes their set and who wins. We call it “Comedy as a blood sport”.

Sometimes we find ourselves unable to run a gong and fall back to a regular open mic. When this happens and we have enough warning we’ll notify via the discussion in the event.

It starts to get quite cold towards the end of the show so BRING SOMETHING WARM TO THROW ON.

Free, but koha gladly accepted.

This is a fully accessible venue with on-street parking and near the 30 bus route.

As an open mic we can’t control the jokes that individual comedians tell, parental discretion is advised.
